The Conflict Continues

Gripping image from the aftermath of Kamenka

Dateline - 30 August, 2015 IGT – Brussels

International Times has received new information from the front lines in the war torn country of Chernarus as US forces continue to weaken the enemy, forcing them to retreat.

This past week enemy forces secured strong defensive positions in many cities throughout the nation such as Polina, Dubrovka, and Kamenka, but were swiftly and effectively pushed out of these areas by the 506th.  It was such a defeat for RPLA and Red Guard forces that enemy casualties have been difficult to estimate.  Some unconfirmed estimates put the enemy combatant death toll at several platoons worth. The burning wreckage of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles could be seen from the sky, giving us a good picture of the damage that was done to the enemy’s armored capabilities.

With the recent successes from the 506th, the enemy has been weakened and forced to release control of more land and strategic locations to the 506th and joint forces. The only question that remains is how much longer the pro-Russian separatists and Red Guard will continue to fight?  Since the attack on Hammer Airfield in weeks past, the 506th has fought with ferocity and is achieving victory week after week, with the objective of bringing enduring freedom to a country plagued with war.

The rift between the RPLA and the Red Guard has caused and is continuing to cause a great deal of chaos on the battlefield for both sides. We here at the International Times speculate that stability in this nation after the war may be an undertaking played out over several years. That being noted, we assume that this rift in the enemy has enabled US forces to act swiftly and decisively in order to deal crushing defeats to the enemy, liberating more towns and capturing more key points with every engagement.

The conflict in Chernarus continues, but it appears that victory may be on the horizon.
