Unfortunately, there is very limited information regarding OPFOR's direct ground-to-air, or air-to-air capabilities. EMPs remain an ongoing concern, but until more intelligence can be gathered as to what type of EMPs we're dealing with specifically, S-2 can only provide the standard PSA that non-nuclear EMP weapons can generate an electromagnetic pulse with an effective range of a few hundred yards to a few miles depending on their size, and rarely exceeds 6 miles (10 clicks).
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Once again, the lack of intelligence is an ongoing concern, so I'll just be giving a summary of what's known so far. KMN forces are suspected to have gone underground, figuratively and maybe even literally with the alleged help of the local populace, after successfully ambushing Chaos and Goliath 6 stationed on the Republic. INSCOM has decided to delay maneuvering additional satellite ISR that weren't already deisgnated to the region to avoid tipping our hand early, considering the OPFOR's known counter-intelligence and electronic warfare capabilities. It is therefore extremely vital to ongoing operations and intelligence gathering efforts that all material collated at the COP Magnus SCIF is successfully retrieved in a reasonable, legible state. I will stress once again that it is therefore a priority for Havoc to re-establish any connections Goliath and Chaos may have had with local HUMINT sources before their disappearance, avoid damage to civilian structures wherever possible, and look for aid and relief opportunities to demonstrate trustworthiness. And as a final note, it is legal for the civilian populace to own guns after going through the local registration process, and they are allowed to carry them in plain view without a permit, with some restrictions.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
The only concrete last known positions of Chaos and Goliath 6 are COP Magnus, and the abandoned Chaos convoy to the West of Pulau Gurun that was enroute to Loholoho. TFA is deploying at roughly the same time to investigate the previously-mentioned COP Magnus, while TFB will be moving out in 30 minutes to sweep through the town of Nirwana to the South of our AO. Other than that, S-2 doesn't have much else for you, except a reminder to submit found intelligence reports if any are found in the field that isn't immediately actionable, via the template available on the training and operations reports page.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
The Unknown Bunker to the North of CHAOS 3's convoy was included in the Kupale Area of Operations Assessment document published recently by S-2, and is an old Japanese WW2 installation. The Unknown Compound to the South however, was not, due to its recessed, valley-like position within heavy foliage. Our best guess is another old bunker system or some sort of ancient pagan religious site, and due to the local culture of forbidding pictures/videos being taken of culturally significant areas, there's not much else to go on.
The town of Loholoho is the cpaital of the Republic, and S-2 recommends a heavy heaping of caution if actions must be taken within. Local civilians are, as far as we know, still largely a neutral force. We have no evidence that every civilian on the archipelago is looking to conceal/assist OPFOR, and we'd like to keep it that way.
