Is there anything I can play with 506th?
« on: August 12, 2020, 08:00:32 PM »
Good evening, I am PV1 K. Nguyen and I just finished my Recruit training last night, and I am currently waiting for my OSUT training which will happen in 10 days. I understand that I have to finish my OSUT training and there is a process for me to be able to play with the 506th. But, I really don't have much games to play with in order to kill times after finishing my work, and all I have to do is waiting until my OSUT training happen. I just want to ask is there any server of the 506th that just run in "unofficial" (means that a server just to let members and non-members messing a littile bit around like having funny moments)?

You should also be free to fill in with trainings I believe.  if a squad has a need they put out calls in Teamspeak.  Just keep an ear out when on TS, if you see a call just ask the personal calling if they'd be willing to take you along.

Also if you have a specific time you're available (e.g. Wednesday nights) it's always okay to see who trains then, and contact them in advance. Most leaders I know would be happy to run one man heavy if it means giving you some experience.

Thank you Sgt Hardman, but can I ask what time specifically, and I have to contact them via TS right?

You will find that when you go on Teamspeak, the channels of each squad has an updated (or should be an updated) roster as well as time for the training  that they conduct. If you cannot contqct the squad leader directly, that is a good way to find out our training times as well.

The PM you received after completing recruit training should have included a link to a calendar that shows training times for every squad.  Click the link, look at the infantry platoons (Alpha Company) and you can see if there are any trainings being held that day (and the start time).

If the calendar link was not in the PM you received you can find it here: 506th Unit Calendar

Another good way to play with other 506th Members is the Game room where unofficial Arma 3 missions/fun ops and other games that fellow members play are posted.
