Hello 506th!
I wanted to say hello and let you all know that I am yet again out doing the Army's work in the most beautiful of vacation spots! My work here is super secret so this entire server will have to be destroyed a few minutes after my post...
Every day and night I hear and watch real blackhawks, apaches, chinooks, and ospreys taking off and landing, conduct sling load operations, and doing aviator business and each time I find myself dreaming of piloting each one. Arma 3 has taken me as close to being a pilot as I will be to one and I owe a huge thank you to this unit for allowing me to play that role and I am hopeful that I will day be able to return as I truly miss the games.
Outside of flying for the 506th, I honestly miss being a part of the S2. I truly enjoyed creating the products, enemy OOB, and the reporting... sigh
I hated having to leave the 506th and anticipated on returning before now but the moons still are not aligned for me to doing that just yet. This frustrates me to be honest...
In closing, I try to troll the forum as often as possible and am really happy to see this group going strong. One final thought...I recently had the opportunity to see the real 101st and 82nd in person and it quickly reminded me of just how old I am! (chuckling to myself at this point). It is definitely a young man's game...
