CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED :: SECRET :: CLASSIFIED

TO: East Sea Assistance Force (ESAF) Command, Minnesota Airbase
FROM: INSCOM Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, Virginia
RE: MOSN has been effectively neutralized; ESAF Mission Complete

The following intelligence report is classified and should only be distributed to authorized personnel.

Final assaults on MOSN:

Task Force Alpha successfully assaulted and secured Luzern. 4 ICBM TEL launchers were found in Luzern; 2 were destroyed and 2 captured intact. EOD reports determined that the 2 destroyed launchers contained no payload. The other 2 launchers found deeper in Luzern were found to contain a small nuclear payload. The missiles have nomenclature that match those that reside in North Korea, no radar station or command launch vehicle where discovered within the city and no pre-programmed coordinates were present on the missiles. These missiles and payload capacity match the previously detonated warhead on Japanese soil. A MOSN officer was captured along with a significant amount of intel. The intel confirmed MOSN leadership and suggested that MOSN Command resided in the International Airport just north of Luzern.

Task Force Charlie secured the city of Emmen, multiple ammunition caches where found. It is believed Emmen was used to receive supplies and distribute them around the island for MOSN and PRNA forces. No HVT’s were present in the city, S-2 then determined that any remaining MOSN and PRNA HVT’s had withdrawn back to the Airfield that had been fortified heavily. Emmen was MOSN's last stockpiles of munitions and vehicles.

During Task Force Bravos assault of the airfield S-2 intelligence reported that General Gleb Zakharovich and Field Marshal Zhutov Olegovich were in the AO. TFB were able to capture both of them, as well as Ogum Jong-Soo. Sometime during the operation a TEL unit was prepped for launch on the island to the North East of the airfield. Surveillance following the mission indicates that the radar and command and control vehicles were present at it's location.

All three HVTs were captured

Nuclear impact on Luzern:

The TEL unit launched successfully and devastated the city of Luzern. Approximately half of it's population was killed in the blast and ensuing fires, and more are expected to die from radiation sickness and other wounds sustained during the explosion. The UN, Red Cross, and various other government and civilian agencies have learned of the situation and are sending help to the island. The US has already dispatched multiple hospital and supply ships. The call has gone out for volunteers from South Korea and neighboring countries.

Task Force Alpha had already departed Luzern, and along with Charlie had moved into a backup position south of Task Force Bravo's AO in case they were called upon. No in country US Military forces were hurt in the explosion, however several civilian contacts were killed or wounded in the city. The nuclear blast caused a localized EMP which shut down the power systems of the helicopters that Task Force Bravo was on, the pilots of Delta Co. were able to auto-rotate and safely land the two Chinooks. The Blackhawk carrying elements of Havoc 4 was unfortunately lost in the landing.

Nuclear impact of Luzern

Stand down:

ESLA forces are mopping up any remaining MOSN forces, and the Japanese are sending a full division from the mainland to help restore order on the island and suppress the Scavenger threat.

All 506th units are hereby ordered to stand down at Airbase Minnesota and Colorado and await further orders and relocation.
