Moment of silence...
« on: July 17, 2015, 06:51:49 PM »
Hello, 506th!

As you all go about your days I would like you to take into account the four Marines and one sailor who were gunned down in the most cowardly way the other day in Tennessee. Those who are the bravest of the rest, who would lay their lives on the line for their country should be able to find safety and solace at home and the other day this was taken away by a true coward. So let us, in rememberance of those four five who died, take a moment of reflection on their service and the service of all veterans and currently serving service members alike.

- Lance CPL Squire "Skip" Wells, who's last known words were a text to his fiance exclaiming "ACTIVE SHOOTER" moments before he was shot and killed.
- Gunnery SGT Thomas Sullivan, who was enlisted nearly 18 years, earned 2 purple hearts and was deployed in two tours in Iraq.
- SGT Carson Holmquist, who was an avid sportsman, was deployed twice in Operation Enduring Freedom.
- Staff SGT David Wyatt was a man who grabbed life by the horns and never accepted "good enough".
- Navy Petty Officer Randall Smith

May all five rest in peace.
