Mic Suggestions
« on: April 19, 2021, 12:35:27 PM »
Saw a previous post below from 2019 on this topic, but figured I'd post this to see if there are any newer desktop mic suggestions?

I am currently using a HyperX Cloud 2 headset, which is great but am considering a desktop mic, something that will be good for both gaming and online work calls.

Needs to be fairly good at removal of background noise and I am limited to either USB or 3.5 jack and not to expensive, probably in the $200-$300 range.

I use a blue yeti. The important thing is to get a boom arm to reduce noises transferring from your desk. If audio quality is important, then put aside some of your budget for sound dampening panels to put on your walls. The blue yeti has a pop filter built in, so you won't need one for that mic.
