Title: Has anyone recieved Error code 0x8000033 when trying to back up windows
Post by: SPC O'Connell on January 17, 2016, 05:18:03 PM
I keep getting this error when ever I try to back up, which I need to do asap in prep for new cpu and mobo.  I've wiped my partitions on my back up so this drive has plenty of room.

You're error is a result of messing with the partitions. What OS are you on? Shouldn't really matter, but this fix is for Windows 8.1

I'd use a free backup utility or pay for Acronis and do a full system image.

Pain in the ass but the issue was a partition created by Windows for system reserves.  Had to erase it and reformat the drive.  Thank you for the help.
