The 3D mission editor is going to be just as big of an advance as Zeus IMHO.

Agreed 100%. I haven't done any mission editing since I was a Sgt in the 15th and I attempted to do some this past week and quickly remembered how much of a pain in the ass it is placing units and objects on the map. With how soon the 3D editor is supposed to be implemented I won't even bother making new templates for my squad until then. I would even sooner rather have the 3D editor than Tanoa and I really want Tanoa.

I'm slightly wary that BI has dropped all reference to DirectX 12, which was originally announced to be coming in the "Tanoa expansion", and is instead simply referring to a "graphics update" which involves some new shaders and texture work (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CWhaVzKWoAArZU2.jpg:large).

Here's hoping DirectX 12 in ArmA 3 hasn't been circular filed.

Here's the only "recent" information ive found for Arma 3 and DirectX 12:

From their latest SITREP; (http://"http://dev.arma3.com/post/sitrep-00139")

All of these changes are unrelated to our investigation into DirectX 12 by the way. This has not yet yielded useful results, so we don't have any concrete news on that front.

That's kind of upsetting news, but I can't say I'm surprised either...
