Title: ARMA 3 (How to play as multiple people in a squad?)
Post by: J. Lee on April 01, 2015, 10:37:38 PM
I remember playing a few SP missions where if you died, you could take over someone else that's an AI in your squad and so forth, until your squad is eliminated. Is there any way to set a script for that? I would love to do that with a private group that I play with. I know the basics on editing for ARMA 3, but I don't know too much about the more advanced portions of it.

I don't do a lot of mission editing but respawn = "GROUP"; will "respawn to the next available playable unit in a group. When none is left, BIRD respawn is used instead."

See this thread on ARMA respawns - https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Respawn

I have no idea if this would work with AGM etc.

Yeah it works but the BIRD respawn is annoying just FYI.

If you're actually making the mission or changing it in the editor, the way to do this is to make every slot "playable".

If you're trying to do something to an existing mission, I don't know of a way.
