Title: Teamspeak integration on ArmA (TFAR)
Post by: Henderson on March 24, 2015, 03:13:11 PM
I've been very busy today getting my game ready and set for Saturday, but there's 1 thing I have no clue how to do or if it actually works ; Teamspeak 3 plugin for TFAR
My guts tell me TFAR is correctly installed together with the plugins folder for TS3, I have learned in-game how to utilize the radio's etc, but I dont know for sure.
Can someone tell me a way to test out if everything is operational?

Sincerely, Jäger.

Go in game and use the keybinds to test if the radio pops up and see if when you press the transmission key it says you are transmitting.

also in teamspeak go to settings and plugins and make sure you have task force radio checked there.

Typically youll get help just before your RCT training starts as long as you show up early :)

SR & LR radio's work, have trouble setting the frequency however. Sometimes the button doesn't work.
TS3 is fully operational too, thank you.

Sincerely, Jäger.

To set the frequency:

For standard radio hit CTRL+P which brings up the radio interface (guessing you've done that already)
You have to actually click in the field where the frequency is shown (not very intuitive)
Use the BKSP or DEL key to clear out the frequency that's listed
Type in the new frequency
Click the ENT button on the radio interface (middle button far right of the keypad)
Now when you click CAPS LOCK, you will transmit on that frequency.  It should be shown in the bottom right corner of your screen.

For long range the instructions are the same except you click the FREQ button to enter the frequency and you use CTRL+CAPS LOCK to transmit.

As a new recruit, focus on how to use the short range ANC 152 radio.  Long range radios are used only by team leaders and up during official trainings and operations.

Hope this helps.  Welcome aboard.
