Operation Desert Fury Phase 06-25 - TASK FORCE ALPHA
S-2 Tailored Intelligence Brief//02MAR25
//SECRET//
Operation/Patrol Time:
1330 Charlie (UTC+3), 02JAN25
Weather/Forecast Information:
Current temp: 65 degrees F, 37% humidity, 10% precipitation, 3 mph wind speed.
Lighting/Visibility Factors:
0% cloud cover. Sunrise at 0631 and sunset at 1803.
Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) & Aviation Advisory Information
OPFOR's anti-air capabilities remain limited. No change from previous phase.
Theater/Strategic-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
Many SoAK operations have gone underground or shifted outside the region after special operation conducted during the New Year failed to eliminate General Asad. As a result, remaining SoAK forces within Al-Anbar are largely disconnected from each other, and lacking in logistics and high level leadership. OPFOR elements within Fallujah have opted to become more aggressive, holding the central radio tower at great cost to broadcast propaganda, while OPFOR elements within Ramadi have decided to fortify the few positions they still have that were recently taken from the Rangers.
Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
After being cut off, SoAK forces within Fallujah have opted for the aggressive approach, fighting their way back into Fallujah and taking over the central radio tower along with a few nearby neighborhoods to broadcast propaganda. As a result, most - if not all - remaining SoAK strong points within the region have been revealed and identified with high confidence. Their regional HQ has been designated as HQ Highball to the North of Karbala, while the radio tower compound itself has been designated as OP Sinatra.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
The IAF is standing by with specialists ready to reprogram the radio tower once the compound has been secured and a perimeter defense is set. As the SoAK forces occupying the compound and parts of the city are well aware of the suicidal nature of their task, it is highly likely that they will fight to the last man, and suicide vest/VBIED-based tactics may be more of a concern.

Local/Tactical-level News & Intelligence Updates, Activity, and Analysis
After being cut off, SoAK forces within Ramadi have opted for the defensive approach, pulling back troops and fortifying their remaining positions along the Bechlemet Valley to the South-West of Ramadi. Amongst these positions are two Ranger outposts that were taken by the SoAK during the counter-attack just before the New Year, hereby designated as OP Pitt and OP Clooney. SoAK movement and activity has also revealed the position of one of the last cells in the region, hereby designated as COP Vegas, which was responsible for coordinating the previously mentioned counter-attack.
Special Info/Patrol Objective-specific Intelligence
OP Pitt and OP Clooney are outposts fortified with HESCO barriers and bunkers, and will likely be impervious to small breaching explosives. The possibility of SoAK forces utilising BLUFOR weapons and equipment is low, but cannot be discounted. While it is an objective for Stalker to conduct SSE within these OPs once they have been secured, it is within the Task Force Commander's authority to call for fires from attached assets on these positions should they pose a threat to his task force's maneuvers.
COP Vegas itself is nested within the town of Bechlemet, thus civilian presence is expected. All remaining SoAK forces are well aware of the fact that they are cornered and their days are numbered, therefore BLUFOR is advised to be cognizant of the increased possibility of suicide vest/VBIED-based tactics.
