.rpt text (http://pastebin.com/RMsXg8z9)
I have put these
fdf_isle1_a.pbo
fdf_isle1_a_c.pbo
fdf_obj_a.pbo
in the correct folder >> Arma3\@Podagorsk\Addons\<files>
All I'm able to do now is load Podagorsk in the editor with one NATO rifleman placed down. Every time I try to load my own template, or CPL McKelvie's template, or join a server running Podagorsk, Arma 3 stops responding and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to kill the process.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
-
Can't look at the .rpt on my phone, but try putting the Podagorsk files in your allinarma folder and running that.
-
Got the same problem tried to put it in the AiA but i didnt work too
-
I tried Harrison's method too. Still crashed on the load screen.
I know at least one other person besides Alp who's having this issue.
-
I've tried both methods (putting it in the AiA pack, and creating an @folder), and both results give me the same Arma locking up when trying to load the map via editor. I've also noticed that each map, and vehicle/infantry in the editor now has a puzzle piece next to their name. I'm told this is in relation to something with Podagorsk, but have yet to figure out which exactly.

That was added in a recent Arma update just so you can tell what mod something is from. The puzzle piece is the symbol for AiATP.
-
I've experienced a crash at the load screen and also in the game with a single unit on the map.
-
I'll try to replicate what you guys are getting, as I can't find anything online.
-
Could it be because the map is still an arma 2 map? It's in the A2 section of the armaholic downloads and might not be compatible with A3 yet. All the maps we've used far have some level conversion and can be found the in A3 section of armaholic.
-
ive been experiencing the same issues as others podagorsk will crash my game till i have to kill it back to desk top ive tried it as the others above me have also when i could get it to work 1 out of 50 tries just put down a standard a3 unit and then go into zeus/ares and to move around it will crash the game to desktop
-
I put the extracted files in the main \Addons folder and it worked. Although the game does not recognize it as a new expansion, I was able to create a test mission on that map with 2-3 elements and play it. No crashes, but I haven't tested extensively to be honest.
-
My arma 3 stops working whenever I boot up with the map and try to preview. It won't load past the half way point weather using a template or using editor for me.

I assume it works fine, as there are many A3 videos featuring the map, and it is included in A3MP.
-
Several of us were just talking about this (with some of the S2 fellas), and it seems the difference is renaming the @ file folder. I renamed mine to @FDF_Podagorsk, and it loads up perfectly. Others with the same issue, perhaps you can rename the folder to something else, and see if it fixes it?

Well then A3MP might be the key to making it work since I too am having crash issues launching the map.
-
Do you have A3MP installed?
-
I have been using the map for days with no issues...you need to run the map as its own mod.
-
I've had no issues with the map so far. I've spent a few hours on it in the editor, and it hasn't crashed on me yet.
To those experiencing crashes, I am assuming everyone changed the extracted folder to be set up correctly? I've set it up so that the modfolder is called "@FDF_Podagorsk_v11" with an "addons" folder inside containing the .pbos. Looks like this (http://i.gyazo.com/2e06b273008546600c14dc1caab40077.png).
Maybe try running the A3MP Additional Pack (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24911) alongside AllInArmA? The standard A3MP does not have support for Podagorsk, I believe. Only the Additional Pack adds support for Podagorsk and a few other maps.
-
You shouldn't be running any form of A3MP.

This is how mine is and I haven't had any problem. We currently have S-4 looking into what might be the exact issue and how to resolve it. Just have some patience and let's see what they say.

This is almost guaranteed to be the problem people are seeing. You must do as CPL Wischuf says above.

This had zero effect on the map for me. I named it Podagorsk, Podagorsk, fdfpodagorsk, and fdf_podagorsk, and never experienced a crash at any point.
-
Try by naming the addons folder "Addons" instead of "addons". That fixed it for me yesterday. Folder setup must be "@Podagorsk/Addons/"
-
I fixed my issue by fixing the same issue in this post.

This could certainly be it for a lot of people. To those crashing, I want to confirm that you guys aren't running the lite version of AiA, correct?
-
I am not using the "GimmeMoarFrames" thing
I have the map as its own mod with the correct folder structure
I have named the mod folder @Podagorsk, @FDF_Podagorsk, and @FDF_Podagorsk_v11
I have tried using "addons" and "Addons"
I am using the full version of AIA
I have tried putting the files inside AIA
I have tried putting the files inside the main addons folder inside the Arma 3 directory
Every single time it crashes when trying to load a template. (Same boxes / units as other templates).
For those of you not having a problem launching it, what is the order of your mods when you're launching? (Not sure if this makes a difference but it's worth a shot.)

@CBA_A3,@task_force_radio,@RHS_AFRF3,@RHS_USF3,@sthud,@SMD_A3,@506th,@Podagorsk
However, hearing that you are only crashing while loading templates may mean that our templates have something conflicting with Podagorsk.
-
are you not running AIA?

are you not running AIA?
Sorry, took that off for testing purposes, but I have always launched at the end: @CBA_A3,@task_force_radio,@RHS_AFRF3,@RHS_USF3,@sthud,@SMD_A3,@506th,@panthera,@Podagorsk,@allinarmaterrainpack
-
no joy.
-
Welp, I wish I could do more. I'll be totally honest, I can't even get the map to crash. I've tried doing the exact opposite of all suggestions, and I can't replicate this.
-
Those who crash: Navigate to this folder: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 . Do you have a .bidmp file?
-
I don't.
-
Have you tried running this without Sahrani running?
-
Have you tried running this without Sahrani running?
Yup we tried that last night. No luck...
Not sure what it could be, We tried templates with just plan RHSUSF dudes, no scripts, no ammo boxes, just a fireteam of playable dudes. And still had people crashing trying to load. Its baffling !
-
I also uninstalled my video card drivers and did a clean install. Still no joy on loading up the editor with our standard operation stuff on it.

nope
-
Also having issues. My files are set up like they're supposed to be.

I will add that I can run the map in the editor fine. I am able to join all servers and pick a slot. Once I hit continue to enter the map, my game crashes without fail. No amount of waiting fixes it, let it sit there for an hour and task manager said it was unresponsive.
Edit: Just tried this on the official server and same result, able to pick a slot, once I hit continue, the game crashes.
Edit 2: Ran the game without All In Arma and was able to connect to the server and enter the map with no issues (except for there being no buildings...)
"D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" -mod=@506th;@CBA_A3;@AllInArma;@Podagorsk;@TFAR;@RHS
Those who crash: Navigate to this folder: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 . Do you have a .bidmp file?
There is no .bidmp, but I can give you the RPT files.
The ONLY ways I have been able to join a server running Podagorsk without crashing is to have @A3MP running in conjunction with all other 506 mods or not have All In Arma running at all.
-
I am able to join the map on editor and servers but whenever i introduce an ammo box init line to add things to it the game crashes on load.
-
I can't even load the template in editor lol.
-
To add to my previous, the game seems to crash 100% of the time when i attempt to access the main south airfield or spawn in there. Other areas of the map seem to work.
-
To add to my previous, the game seems to crash 100% of the time when i attempt to access the main south airfield or spawn in there. Other areas of the map seem to work.
I can confirm this, everything being the same, placed a single RHS infantry rifleman player South of line 14 and crashed (replicated 3 times). Placed same rifleman above line 12 and worked fine in editor (replicated 3 times).
Edit: Placed zeus module down to try to teleport my character to the airfield and simply moving to this area via Zeus caused game to crash.
Edit 2: Spawned in a blackhawk above grid line 12, flew around the airfield no problem, as soon as my wheels touched the ground at the airfield (center tarmac), game crashed. Drove a vehicle from above grid line 12 all the way down to where the airfield bridge is at, a few seconds later game crashed. Drove the same path a second time and crashed just after the bridge.
-
So I was able to resolve my problem, just tested it on the official server and spartan 2's server. I completely reinstalled All In Arma. Five hours later I am able to connect fine with no issues.
I also saw that my original version of the AIA hotfix was only 138 MB and was downloaded on January 4th. The most recent AIA hotfix is 140 MB and has files dated January 7th. At some point between the hot fix being released, there was another hotfix to the hotfix which isn't reflected on armaholic. Hopefully that made sense.
My suggestion, re-download the hotfix. If that does not work, re-download AIA.
-
I wish we had all-in-one "506th" mod packs with fire-and-forget installation instructions. In other words, an all-encompassing 7z file with all the mods that are required and unzip instructions to unpack in a vanilla installation and be done with it.
The complexity of the whole procedure (and its frequent updates) is starting to get out of control... :(
Do you think this might be realistic sometime in the future? I know the negative side of it, some people use more or different (custom) installations, etc... but I guess these people could still customise their folder structure if they are experienced enough. For the rest of us, we need to minimise the time lost in finding-troubleshooting all this modification work.
-
AiA updated recently, and I know for a fact it caused problems with Thirsk, making it unplayable for many people. We may very well be experiencing the same thing with Podagorsk.
Figured I'd bring this over. I think, based on SGT Richardson's situation, that I may have accidentally updated my AiA without noticing, which would explain me having no crashes. I would certainly suggest that all who are crashing redownload the hotfix as SGT Richardson has.

The problem with this suggestion is that such a zip/rar file would be 10GB+ if you include AllInArma and RHS in it. Besides the issues we are seeing with Podagorsk right now, our current mod pack should be reasonably straight-forward and easy to install and set up - especially with the Arma3Sync repository system, which basically already does what you are suggesting. Additionally, our current modpack allows you to download most of the required mods individually, should one of them be corrupted or not work correctly.
I completely reinstalled All In Arma. Five hours later I am able to connect fine with no issues.
My suggestion, re-download the hotfix. If that does not work, re-download AIA.
I recently had to re-install ArmA 3 and re-download all of my mods, including the AllInArmA Terrain Pack, which might explain why Podagorsk is not crashing on my end either.
Could someone else who is still experiencing crashes try this out and report back?
-
Okay, so last night CPT Drumheller, 1LT Clark, SGT Ferreiro and Myself all loaded to the official Podagorsk template produced by S-4 and ran it on the official operations server.
1. We were able to use Zues
2. We stayed connected
3. We spawned many friendly and enemy adds
4. We killed them, they killed each other
5. We flew around in Helicopters, A10's and drove Bradleys
I am now going to give you my Mod Set:
CBA, 506th, TFAR, AIATP, RHS (Russian and US), @FDF_Podagorsk_v11, STHUD
I recommend you ensure you are running the same as above and that everyone of those Mods are updated according to the mod list. The issue may in fact be that AIATP hotfixed it's hotfix. If you are running other Mods than what I list above you are running them at your own risk.
If it can be proven that the map is the problem then we will immediately scrap it, alter the story-line and change the deployment. But I am as yet not convinced the map is the problem, as most of us who have assured our Mods are updated and don't run a bunch of other crap seem to be having no problem.
Your Podagorsk map procedure should be as follows. You download the Zip. You unzip it into a folder named "@FDF_Podagorsk_v11" you will need to create a folder inside the @FDF_Podagorsk_v11 folder named "Addons", you will need to put all the PBO's in the "Addons" folder. You will need to ensure that the @FDF_Podagorsk_v11 folder is in your ARMA 3 Folder and set on your mod line or listed in your launcher.

All In Arma Terrain Pack
Bear with me,
AiA TP was updated 2015-01-01
Download full pack (Gigabytes)
-or- Download patch (135 MB)
AiA TP was then hotfixed 2015-01-05
Download hotfix (99 MB)
I had to read the bohemia forum topic about this.
@kju
Its a bit complicated to an old men.
At first post I find this:
AiA TP (6.4 GB)
no date here, is it the new version including patch and hotfix?
AiA TP 2015 01 01 Patch (135 MB) and AiA TP 2015 01 01 Patch (99 MB)
Which one is the new one ? Do I need both ? Where is the hotfix ?
If you want to download latest version then:
AiA TP (6.4 GB) and then AiA TP 2015 01 01 Patch (99 MB) (Hotfix 1)
If you have version 2014-10-18 and want to update then:
AiA TP 2015 01 01 Patch (135 MB) and then AiA TP 2015 01 01 Patch (99 MB) (Hotfix 1)
Can confirm that Isla Duala and Panthera works now without any problems with latest hotfix ;)
There was one corrupted texture in version 2015-01-01, that was causing all the freezing / crashes.
I downloaded the full AiA TP on 06 Jan, but I still had to hotfix (not patch) it to fix the crash issue.
I think there is some confusion about what's the patch and what's the hotfix.
I downloaded the hotfix from here
Search "AiA TP 2015-01-01 Hotfix 1 (99 MB)"
THANK YOU CPL OTTO - CPT P. HAYES

At the request of CPT Hayes:
I realize it is untested as of yet, but I do know for a fact that the hotfix that some of the members are using (the older one) did most certainly break some maps that are not included by default with AiA, but are meant to work if ran separately. I also know for a fact that the more recent hotfix was put out specifically to address this bug.
Here are three links (all the same) to the patch:
1) http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=27829
2) https://mega.co.nz/#!1tQz1aCR!T13b_6W1OdsZOAo7H9vnklJgP6QMRQGg0rBgkYCXGPM
3) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B78l1r8Ot0x9QXVCVGx3S19leEU/view?pli=1
Next, here are two links (both the same) to the necessary hotfix that is to be added on to the patch above:
1) https://mega.co.nz/#!EoQSnbaA!F32Lggg-V0bDfSeQQ-dMSIiZYiHx0l9uFsY1ThtTtSM

Installing both of these over the AiA version from October should fix this crashing error.
