Title: Star Citizen Organization
Post by: Maj(Ret) Rittenhouse [15th MEU(SOC)] on January 25, 2015, 01:21:00 PM
Hey there, I know there was/is a ton of interest in Star Citizen and an organization that was founded by 15th members (many of which are now 506th members). We're still intending to go forward with Gambler Secure Solutions Incorporated. Another organization is being stood up as well which may merge/get integrated/be allied with GSSI. We're setting up some joint forums so we won't just be on the 15th forums anymore. I invite anyone who still wants to get involved in the Star Citizen group to come on over to these forums and help get the group(s) established, organized, set up, and running. Right now GSSI still needs to be developed the forums, so don't be too worried if what you see of JTF8 isn't what you're in to. Both groups are in high state of flux.

Hope to see you there.

After the falling out of the owner of JTF8 who GSSI relied on for web hosting, we've rebuilt the forums to allow organization and discussion.

Glad to see this is still around, Ritt.

Already signing up to help out in the 'verse.

EDIT: Does this count as double-clanning?

This does not count as Dual-Enlistment in an ARMA unit. as it's . . .  NOT Arma  8)

I'll be there Ritt for sure. Haven't played star citizen as much as I wished too. Still waiting for them to release more modules.

Same.

Also, glad to see that you're one of the 506th, Whitby.

Okay, good, because I was sorta worried there for a sec.

It's really good to see GSSI up and running, more or less...

I remember when Starck, Roddy, a few others, and I were discussing the unit in a TS3 chat, laying down how it'd work and everything.

And now it's coming into its own.

Expect forums to have both GSSI and JTF8 sections

Just as an update:

Website is complete, we're just in the process of fine-tuning it.
Forums are done and ready for applications!
TS is getting overhauled tomorrow.

If you will be participating in either JTF8 or GSSI, go ahead and sign up on the forums and specify for which one you are going for. Be aware that there are naming convention rules in place, so no "Major UberYoloSweg666".

Rec Training is ready for the JTF8 side and we will be funalling people through and get them in their billeted positions. Right now, Recruit Training will be on Wednesdays at 1900CST. Expect ITB/MCT to be available once Arena 2.0 is out.

Can't wait to fly with GSSI once Arena Commander 2.0 drops... Or whatever RSI has next for us.

Why do GSSI operatives need to go through JTF training?

I raised this question on the forums, but I'd like to ask here, too.

The SC unit has it's own forums. The posts about it need to be posted there and there alone.

Anyone who HAS or is going to apply for either GSSI or JTF8 - I need you to PLEASE PLEASE post in the Application boards who you are, and what your applying for.

We have yet to get the application form installed (trying to figure out how).  Until then you are helping us out so we don't have to chase you down.

JTF8 Application Board (http://"http://www.jtf8.com/forums/index.php?board=2.0")

GSSI Application Board (http://"http://"http://www.jtf8.com/forums/index.php?board=172.0")

This is not optional.  From this point on, NO applications will be processed without information being submitted per our requirements.  We just can't keep chasing everyone down.  I really do appreciate your help.

Just as heads up. Not sure how you guys have your rules set up for fourms, but I don't want to clutter things too much here or on te 15th fourms now that we have GSSI/JTF8 forums. We're gonna try and do stuff once a month in Arena Commander for now and then a little more often once the PU Beta drops. If you're interested in that, move on over to the SC forums.

If anyone is still on the fence for getting Star Citizen, use this code to get a 2 week trial for the arena dogfighter: CITCONFLIGHT2K15

When you make an account you can use this code to snag an extra 5,000 in game credits as well: STAR-H7R7-PVTT

Also, Once the Persistant Universe (2.0) goes up sometime in the next few months, is anyone interested in starting some standard play times. There should be enough content for the Marines and Combat Squadrons to have roles. Possibly even some of the Trade game play may be up.

Thoughts?

Same discussion on the Organizations Boards: http://gssi.createaforum.com/employee-lounge/play-times/

Where would one put this code in? Or is it only on a new account creation?

Its only for new accounts, its basically just a referral code.
