Title: Malwarebytes Trojan Warning about ARMA 3
Post by: SSG Littleberry on October 14, 2018, 07:34:20 AM
Last night, when I was on the Internet tab of the ARMA 3 server browser (in game, not launcher) connecting to the new server for the TFC op, Malwarebytes' real time Web Protection suddenly notified me that it had blocked a website due to a Trojan. The report had an IP address, no domain name, and the application was listed as arma3_x64.exe. Anyone else had this happen? I'm pretty sure it's a false positive and I'm not too worried, but I've never had that happen before, then again I'm almost never on the Internet tab of the browser. I was able to replicate it by restarting the game, going to the server browser and waiting a while. Malwarebytes would push the same notification to me. Though, if I went through the server browser and quickly connected to a server, there would be no notification from Malwarebytes. Could one of the servers on the list potentially trigger something like this?

This happens to me when I'm tabbed out of the server list, even when I just have official and unofficial 506th servers showing. I think Malwarebytes is just being cautious as the IP isn't connected to to a web page that it can also detect. I wouldn't worry if you have regular scans going.
