Title: Tutorial Request - Placing official arsenal in editor for loadout creation.
Post by: Corfield on August 27, 2016, 09:56:13 AM
Is there a tutorial users unfamiliar with Zeus, and the editor, for placing an official arsenal object in the editor, for setting up and modifying loadouts?

I have been able to create arsenal boxes, but it contains everything, and my official loadouts are greyed out.  Past experiences attempting this have left me with loadouts that won't work on the official server on operations nights.

Thank you for any help.

Much searching had lead to:

Not certain how to use these though.

Put these scripts in the init field of the object.
With the scripts in a scripts folder in a new mission file, I put the arsenal sqf, and the add action for clear loadout in the init field of the object.

Probably pretty obvious to Arma vets.  Was obfuscated for a non-programmer.

Are you wanting to do this so you can build and save your own loadout to use in missions? Or are you wanting to build a mission template using the 506th official boxes?

I have had difficulty getting into official servers at times when it will not interfere with others' training, or at times when the servers are empty.

I should already have all of my loadouts set up, but my game time is generally limited, so I have't set all of them up just so.
I'm hoping this will let me change, or set up loadouts without bothering anyone, when I have time, so I can be ready for any situation.

i.e. have a short and long barrel 249 setup so I can take one for MOUT missions, and one for wilderness operations.
