Title: Mods
Post by: Hawks on March 10, 2016, 07:26:27 PM
I've tried researching, but I am having no luck finding answers. I need help with downloading the Mods. Which ones do we download? I see multiple links with GDrive, Mega, AFRF, USAF and so on. A little confused here.

Thanks!

GDrive and MEGA are just different ways of downloading the file, I suggest using the GDrive links. as for AFRF and USAF, those are 2 seperate mods, both of which are RHS related.

The only ones that worked are as follows:

@CBA3
@RHS:AFRF
TeamSpeak plug-ins

Everything else is trying to open in Internet Explorer and will not download properly. I really want to attend class tomorrow, but can't until these are complete. Help Please! (lol)

I click on the GDrive link, pops up saying error, then a new tab opens asking do I want to download anyways, I click "yes" and then it downloads. But when it downloads, it doesn't download with the "@" symbol next to it, the file is a .7z file? It also tries to open it in Internet Explorer for some reason.

.7z Is a fill extension similar to a zip file.  It simply means that the files inside have been compressed so that the user doesn't have to download as much information, saving them time and bandwidth.

Download 7zip.  Once installed, you can right click the .7z file and extract them.  You can't open .7z files before you extract them and will probably show up on your system as an unknown file type until it is installed. WinRAR is also an option.

You can download it from the follow location:- http://www.7-zip.org/

Inside those folders you should see the correct @folders that you are expecting.  Hopefully this makes sense, don't hesitate to post again if it doesn't.

ARMA 3 will load all the Mods except for the @506th Pack. Says it cannot find file "userconfig\cyp_pushtohear_a3\cyp_pushtohear_a3_config.hpp"

I've tried re-downloading the file and looking through it. Nothing. Anyone on TS that can help. I have class @ 2000 EST tonight. Thanks.

The error message is because you are missing the user configuration file for cypress push to hear from your files. Make sure you copy the userconfig folder from the 506th pack zip file into your main Arma 3 directory.

The file is there.
Title: Issues resolved.

The problem was because I loaded all of my Mods at the same time. They need to be loaded into Arma 3 one at a time. NO SHIFT and CLICK or DRAG! Open each file and load it to Arma one at a time.

My issues are fixed and resolved with the mods and its all because of Sgt Owens.  8)

Thanks everyone again for the help!

You won't be able to see the mods until you are accepted into the unit.
