Title: Brewer's Pictures and Videos
Post by: SFC (Ret) M. Brewer on February 28, 2015, 05:27:40 PM
My very first ever published video.  As the driver of Brawler 1-1 it's a different perspective of our operations.  Please watch and subscribe.  You know the drill.   :D

In this particular video my volume is way too low so you can barely hear me.  You'll mostly hear our vehicle commander 1LT Cook.  Still sorting things out with mixing and editing.  Enjoy.

Yeah...famous last words from the LT.  "Follow me!" (we both instantly get gunned down in the street)   ;D

At 4:45, that is a spectacular ambush you suffer there, but retreating and popping smoke saved you (in case that dude or someone else wanted to fire another missile to the Brawler). I really like the fact that you can also fix your vehicle. And that goat munching in the street... ;D

Great pictures indeed. Are you always two operators per vehicle?

Way to go! Very accurate fire. These two Hinds would have killed a lot of men if allowed to fly towards you. I presume only the 25mm cannon could bring them down in this instance, not the light fire from the fire teams' rifles and MGs. Kudos! :)

Not to mention the capability of taking us out too!  I was fortunate enough to get shots on them before they really got moving.  We still had the A-10 in the air, but yes the 25mm brought a quick end to those threats.

Small arms, even the 240's don't really even chip the paint of the HIND's especially shooting up at them from the ground.  That bottom armor is just thick enough....

May I ask what kind of software you use for recording such lengths?

If fraps or dxtory, how!? These things extend to tens of Gigs after just 20m for me, with medium ''quality''settings.

Great content by the way :)

Icy.

I used Nvidia ShadowPlay.  Super easy to use and records at a very good quality.  I use Adobe Premiere Elements 13 to process the videos and render them at 1080p at 60fps in widescreen for YouTube.

Yeah, they are big files.  The raw video of this mission which was about 2 hours was about 50gig.  I have 3TB of hard drive space on my PC so I have plenty of room.  After I post things to YouTube, I usually delete the raw footage unless there's something I really want to keep.  But the best stuff all ends up on YouTube for folks to see.

Thanks for the comments!

Congrats on the promotion, Brewer! Your videos, together with Kiefer's and Richardson's, are some of my favorite.

It's nice to see how you play as commander of a M2A3 now! :)

Mr Brewer
Quality of FTX video is very bad and not to your normal standards.
Can you readjust and re-post?

I thought this video got corrupted and lost forever but I was able to get it recovered.

How'd you manage that?

in case it happens again.

What program are you using to record your video? If it's Fraps, I'd recommend using the "Split Movie every 4 Gigabytes" setting to isolate your losses if anything gets corrupted

A crazy amount of action in this one.

This was probably the best FTX i had been in as well, from how well everyone worked to push back to the birds without leaving a man behind, even though that happened and there was a delay. Big props to everyone who participated in this FTX.

The last one sums up Brawler pretty nicely.

So this is an excerpt from a Brawler section training on 13JUN15.

As we're assaulting a town, the infantry gets destroyed by what we all think is a static MMG emplacement somewhere nearby.  I an my crew go in search of the enemy.

Um, yeah...about that one guys....

We missed one...  And they say a man can't change the world!

First post back on this thread in a long time.

An outtake from Havoc 1's Platoon Training last weekend.

A special tribute to our awesome Weapons Squad Havoc 1-4.  You guys fucking kick ass.

Let's get it started.  It's been awhile for me.

The video shows our support from the not so "Friendly" National Army.  The rest is just some quick pictures I caught of Havoc 4 doing some work.  Great job tonight everyone!
