Very quiet direct communications with TFAR
« on: August 31, 2018, 08:02:04 PM »
Since the last TFAR update I have very quiet direct communications.
The radio is fine but for direct its just a disaster. I can't hear anyone when someone is shooting 100m away.

My teamspeak volume is at a 100% so is my headset volume. Are there any other ways to pump up the volume of direct speech in TFAR?
Last time I checked there's not anything in settings or so...  :'(

I turned my playback volume up in TS specifically on a profile I use for Arma.

What SPC Bolinger said, check your volume mixer to make sure your TeamSpeak application volume isn't lowered for whatever reason

It is TFAR that has gone quiet, has nothing to do with desktop audio volume. You either can boost up your playback volume in TS like SPC Bolinger said or crank up the volume in the TFAR addon options.

Can this be that my profile values got messed up because I tried a newer version of TFAR before? I might actually try resetting my config for TFAR.

Will post results later.

No, this comes due to the new update of TFAR itself.

Ah ok, I tried to look for the volume settings, could only find the radio volume in the options menu. Radios are fine its just direct speech. So I will need to find a way to boost ts volume ( since its already at 100% volume )

It's a weird issue

Go to settings, playback, add profile, name it whatever you want, turn playback volume up slightly higher than you normally have it(a little goes a long way)

I have surround sound and it gets b0rked sometimes.  For me the following fixes this issue.

Under the playback tab, 'Mono Sound Expansion', Make sure the 'Mono to Stereo' option is the one selected.
I also have 'always set clients 3D Position when available', or some-such, selected,
