New Keyboard
« on: July 12, 2016, 10:23:49 AM »
So I am looking for a new keyboard, my cheap-o logitech has about killed itself trying to keep up with all my gaming. Would like to know what some of yall use and the pro's/con's of said keyboard. I would prefer an RGB capable keyboard but it is not completely necessary. Currently looking at the Corsair STRAFE, anyone out there using it?

Thank you in advance,

i have no experience with that keyboard unfortunately but Corsair seems to produce solid stuff so i am certain that it will be good.

Right now i am using the Steelseries Apex 350 keyboard and have no complaints about it.

I have the corsair k70. It's the best keyboard I have ever owned. Great response for gaming, will kill your fingers over time if you need to do an essay or something haha.

Got a Logitech G710+ for free.  Not a big fan. The space bar doesn't ever want to reset consistently no matter where I hit it.  Cherry MX Brown switches also score a "meh" from me.  Backlight options are limited and overall construction is still a bit cheap feeling.  Can't complain on the price though!  6/10

Were I given the choice, I'd consider something with a few programmable macro keys for ARMA.  Works wonders for TFAR.  When I'm flying or TACP (or just have a long range on my back for whatever reason), I use them to manage my radios easier.

If dedicated programmable keys are not a concern however +1 for the K70.  A friend of mine got one and it is great.  8/10 for me with my only complaints being the lack of programmable keys and the RGB option K70's are danger close the 9/10 K95 in price.  Why 9/10 on the K95?  Too big because too many G keys.  I'm impossible to please :/
