Title: Looking for LGA 1155 Mobo
Post by: SFC (Ret) Otto on July 15, 2015, 04:59:43 PM
I'm looking for a LGA 1155 Full ATX mobo to replace the one that just stopped working. I currently have a Asrock Z68 Gen 3 paired up with a i5 2500K chipset overclocked to 4.3 GHz so I think I would need a P or Z motherboard to support overclocking.

Your options:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asus-P8Z77-V-LK-Intel-Z77-DDR3-LGA-1155-Motherboards-/191633239712?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c9e3b2ea0

Can't find too much for 1150 socket mobos, definitely try craigslists if your comfortable with it. Only other option is to buy a new mobo and CPU.

Here is a less expensive version. -2 SATA 6Gb/s slots. Not a big deal if your not looking for a more than 2 ssd slots. Number of slots for ram are less, so make sure you get the most from each one.

The 'ASRock Z75 Pro3 ATX Intel Motherboard' fits what I had in mind.

I realize that upgrading my cpu/mobo at the same time is probably the most efficient way to go, but I really am looking for an older style motherboard that will get me back up and running. I recently had to take my kitten to the vet and ended up spending a lot on the little bugger, so the cheapest thing that fits my needs will probably be the way I have to go. Thank you for all the suggestions guys.

In that case, ASUS P68V-PRO GEN3, That's my old mobo and it works a charm.
