International Times, 29NOV16: BRLF Reappears in Beketov
« on: November 29, 2016, 01:00:49 PM »
The Beketov Revolutionary’s Liberation Front (BRLF) has once again resurfaced. According to many civilians living on the outskirts of Beketov, the BRLF has been seen killing innocent citizens due to their political views and their recent manifestations.

The BRLF is a left-wing extremist group who is fighting to bring back communism to Beketov. Their leader, Alexander Konstantov, is a former KGB agent who established himself in Beketov in the early 80s. Konstantov is known in the intelligence community for his harsh interrogation techniques and have been condemned by the United States State Department on many occasions for torturing innocent civilians.

Picture taken by a resistance fighter acting as a pro-BRLF civilian. This image clearly demonstrate the BRLF way to deal with demonstrators.

International Times was granted unprecedented access to Konstantov and his group. According to its public affairs responsible, Maxim Schevchenko, we were invited to witness their daily operations. According to them, they are fighting for the people and treat everyone equally.

Their main purpose is to completely erase the Western influence from the former Soviet country, and establish a government for the people. However, to do so, Konstantov told us they would need to proceed with detaining pro-Western individuals and fight the Beketov security forces.

“Our goal is to bring back the power to the people and make sure everyone is treated equally,” Konstantov told me during a short visit to a checkpoint.

The purpose of this checkpoint is to ensure no foreign agents would infiltrate Beketov to support the government forces against the BRLF.

The BRLF stopped a truck and asked a few questions to its driver.

It was pretty obvious the BRLF were trying to act differently from what they are normally doing. They were polite and were trying to discuss with the civilians. The BRLF never had such a reputation, especially since the first Beketov civil war back in the early 90s where more than 30,000 civilians were slaughtered by the group led by Konstantov.

Another picture provided by the resistance fighter.

That said, we interviewed a group of civilians who are actively fighting the BRLF. According to their leader, which the name will remain anonymous for security reasons, Konstantov is using his group to take over the country and turn into a dictatorship.

“Konstantov has the support of well-known country and receive an unlimited amount of supplies. It is pretty obvious they want him to rule the country in exchange of building a new strategic base on the outskirts of Beketov. That country wants to put short-range ballistic missile in our country, and we don't want to,” said the leader of the civilians fighting the BRLF.

The President of Beketov, Sergey Anatolov, spoke at the United Nations and warned that if no international help would come to help his country, the BRLF would be able to take over and the citizens of Beketov would greatly suffer.

International Times learned that the 506th Infantry Regiment — who recently came back from a deployment to Al Rayak — was currently training in Fort Irwin, California to redeploy sometime early in 2017.

Could the United States deploy troops to Beketov and support the collapsing democratically-elected government?

We’ve reached out to the United States Army Public Affairs and weren’t able to get any comments on the situation due to operational security reasons.

International Times will continue to follow the situation closely and will keep you updated.

See, this is whey wont win, with a name like 'BRLF' as just does not roll off the tongue, they are unable to gather the popular support from the people.

If we were to deploy in this theater it would be a welcoming change from the Iranian 'defectors'

Bleh, Beketov is like shitty green Chernarus.

See, this is why won't win, with a name like 'BRLF' as just does not roll off the tongue, they are unable to gather the popular support from the people.

I call him Ivan.

It could've gone a little better.
