Why do GSSI operatives need to go through JTF training?

I raised this question on the forums, but I'd like to ask here, too.

Anyone who HAS or is going to apply for either GSSI or JTF8 - I need you to PLEASE PLEASE post in the Application boards who you are, and what your applying for.

We have yet to get the application form installed (trying to figure out how).  Until then you are helping us out so we don't have to chase you down.

This is not optional.  From this point on, NO applications will be processed without information being submitted per our requirements.  We just can't keep chasing everyone down.  I really do appreciate your help.

Just as heads up. Not sure how you guys have your rules set up for fourms, but I don't want to clutter things too much here or on te 15th fourms now that we have GSSI/JTF8 forums. We're gonna try and do stuff once a month in Arena Commander for now and then a little more often once the PU Beta drops. If you're interested in that, move on over to the SC forums.

After the falling out of the owner of JTF8 who GSSI relied on for web hosting, we've rebuilt the forums to allow organization and discussion.

If anyone is still on the fence for getting Star Citizen, use this code to get a 2 week trial for the arena dogfighter: CITCONFLIGHT2K15

When you make an account you can use this code to snag an extra 5,000 in game credits as well: STAR-H7R7-PVTT

Also, Once the Persistant Universe (2.0) goes up sometime in the next few months, is anyone interested in starting some standard play times. There should be enough content for the Marines and Combat Squadrons to have roles. Possibly even some of the Trade game play may be up.

Thoughts?

Same discussion on the Organizations Boards: http://gssi.createaforum.com/employee-lounge/play-times/

Where would one put this code in? Or is it only on a new account creation?

Its only for new accounts, its basically just a referral code.

Okay so can someone give me a timeline for Star Citizen? As in what persistent universe is, what the current state of the game is, stuff like that

I am working on downloading the launcher now. Anyone down to do a little exploring of what SC is all about?
